Im Brandon M Miles a licence tourist guide and have been guding about 20 years through out sabah and sarawak and have never been tired of meeting people and introducing them to my lovely country. up until now i have almost done everything the industry has to offer from Diving, Tracking, Caving Mulu, Jungle survival, Jungle Tracking and Motorsports Motorcycle touring, enduro. i see it as an opportunity to develop my skills and gain my experience apart from the normal guiding job that i do.

Dive Borneo

Only 12ha. in size. One of the best dive spot in the world the island of Sipadan, it use to have resort on the island after a ruling by the government all resorts had to move out. Today onlt 120 divers are allowed on the island not to stay over night but only to dive around the island. If you are a diver than sipadan is a must visit dive site in your itinerary. The island provides abundant of underwater marine life from jack fish, Barracuda, turtles, bump heads and many other marine life. Since staying over night is not allowed you may stay at the near by island of Mabul where there are 3 main resorts (Borneo Divers, Sipadan Water Village and Smart) all provide good dive service. To get to sipadan from kota kinabalu there are schedule flights to tawau and also taxi can transfer you to Semporna jetty to get to the resort however make early bookings as the resort may be fully booked.

Day trip Kinabalu Park

Just 99 km from Kota Kinabalu city and with good accessible roads with scatted fruit stall along the way you ll never get board driving up there. It is one of the most popular spots for nature lovers and a must to stop by and discover the abundant plant life on this secret mountain. The park opens at 0830hrs in the morning and close at about 1000hrs for registration and admin which is run by the Sutra centry lodge (Only for accommodation not for climbing). if you intend to visit this world heritage site the best to depart from the city is at 0730hrs when the sky is most clear and for the best view of mt Kinabalu. Also an early star means a relaxed and enjoyable journey, stop at one of the stall along the way to check out the local handicraft or just to try out some of the fruits or junk food that you ll find so many. the mt garden is one of the best place to stop by for an introduction of the plant life found on mt Kinabalu. Dont forget to stop by the starting point of the climb at timpohon gate and also the gallery at the restaurant for more information. You should finish by at least 1200hrs and you can have your lunch, however make sure to bring a little more cash as lunch at the park would cost you about 45 to 50 malaysian ringiit which is ridiculous. they are small coffe shop just out side the park with more reasonable price for lunch.


3 days 2 nights Wildlife Tour
Day 01 – Meet at Hotel Lobby (0800-0810hrs) or Sandakan Airport via MH2042 (ETA 0740hrs) or AK6492 (ETA 0750hrs) or Sepilok area (0900-0910hrs).
**Tips for Guest who do not join Sepilok Tour : Guest may take flight from Kuala Lumpur **AK5198 (ETA 0915hrs) Hopefully the flight depart on time, otherwise, we have to charge unscheduled boat transfer.
**PLEASE TAKE NOTE STANDARD BOAT DEPARTURE TIME TO ABAI/SUKAU. 1145hrs !! **

Drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform. 1000 hrs Feeding of Orang Utans. At this center, observe man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. 1100 hrs depart Sepilok and transfer to jetty in Sandakan. 1145 hrs take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant.
This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise UP river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Late afternoon, an option to take another river cruise with electric motor to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return lodge for dinner and overnight at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. (Lunch / Dinner)
Day 02 – Wake up by the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early AM, take a river trip to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah. Return lodge for breakfast then free at own leisure. Late afternoon river cruise to search for more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Day 03 – After breakfast, transfer by boat back to Sandakan. 11:00hrs proceed to airport for your flight MH 2047 (ETD12:50hrs) or AK6495 (ETD1430hrs) or Hotel. (Breakfast / Lunch)

Recommended Personal Gear
Insect repellent, raincoat (umbrella not recommended), binocular and sun screen (sweat proof). Use good walking shoes and comfortable cotton T-shirt with long or short pant.
